He taught me Geography in Junior High and was a wonderful example of being a disciple from my boyhood forward. He was always thoughtful and kind. He and Georgia Dawn were truly partners and loved each other dearly. I remember them giving both my brother and I each a one hundred dollar bill when we left on our missions. But they didn’t just give it – they baked it in a beautiful hand-made cake, with the money wrapped in tin foil. They were both so generous and kind. I miss Georgia Dawn and will greatly miss Dennis. I enjoyed talking to him before and after church these latter years of his life. He was always so kind and welcoming. He loved his family and missed Georgia Dawn. It makes me happy to think of their joy at being reunited. My deepest condolences to the family. I love you and mourn with you.

Like a patriarch to the family after our father and mother died. He will be remembered for his tender care for family matters. His passing cannot go without remembrance of his good wife whom he mourned for upon her passing. I’d like to present here my recollection of this sweet daughter of the heavenly father:

She was a wonderful person; full of enthusiasm for life. Always in search of things to do that would make the world a better place. Loved everyone she encountered including strangers and wanderers. She raised a large and endearing family and fed them with the bread of life including the best cookies and baked goods found on the earth. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is, truly, one in a million.

He was always kind to me. What a wonderful full life he lived. I loved seeing him in MIDWAY from time to time in these recent years. He never looked like he aged .
