He’s the one you could turn to for anything and he would always help. My dad was the kindest person to the people he loved. I miss him so much every day, I miss his voice and his hugs, seeing him and calling him, sending each other pictures and funny texts or videos. Having barbecues and our camping trips and also our trips to California. I miss his food and his funny jokes and stories. I miss everything about him every day. My dad gave me the most amazing experiences in my life and took me places I could’ve never gone if it wasn’t for him. I will always be grateful for him and I will forever miss him and carry his lessons with me. Dad, I love you so much thank you for everything you have ever done for me, I will never forget any of it and I will cherish it all. You are the greatest father, I’m so happy I get to call you my dad. I miss you so much and I really love you dad. Love, ilyana❤️

He was smart, he was strong, he was funny and resilient. He lived his life to the fullest every day, the best stories I have ever heard came from him. He’s done so many things that other people may be scared to do, I look up to him so much for that. He made the greatest memories with people because he feared nothing, and he would push you to do things that made you uncomfortable because he knew after it’s done you would’ve had fun and also had a great story. He always told me “you could write a book about my life” and he was definitely right. He’s been able to do hundreds of things in his life, he was a mechanic, a cowboy, a firefighter, a scuba diver, a chef, a crane operator and worked in the oilfield for 20 years, he was a truck driver and traveler, an adventurer, but most importantly he was a father and a husband, and a great teacher. He always had the best advice, and the best ways to solve problems.

The next day Duane’s Dad found us, we were probably the two youngest runways in salt lake history.

Adventure, and laughter come to mind, in memories and shared times. Books could be written about times shared and all the adventures, and stories. You could always figure out a way to get it done when you were involved, I knew there was going to be resolve of one type or another. So many Good times shared, a couple scary, Some adventurous-All cherished. Always a help, You carried strength in your essence. With you it always felt like it was going to work out in the end.
